Character class determines the types of activities you will be best at. In this section, you will find descriptions of each class and the abilities they receive both initially and as they progress in level. The maximum level you can achieve in NWN2 is 20, in MotB this is raised to level 30.
Multi-classing
A character with more than one class is considered to be multi-classed. This allows a character to gain access to the features of many classes at the same time. However, since many abilities rely on the number of levels in a class, a multi-classed characters dilutes those abilities. Multi-class characters can also suffer an xp penalty. If a multi-class character's classes are not nearly the same level, then he suffers a multi-class penalty of -20% XP for each class that is not within 1 level of his most experienced class. A raciall favored class does not count against the character for purposes of the -20% XP penalty.
