NWN2 noob

I don't know anything about NWN2 so I'd just like to ask for some info because I'm thinking of buying it.

First, is there a fee to play?

Second, I had NWN1 ages ago, but I didn't like it because there were too many custom servers and not a single unified game (at least so it seemed). Does NWN2 have a main online campaign, and a main world (like World of Warcraft or Guild Wars)?

Third, how is the game pvp?

Hey.
There is no fee to play, but, as far as I can tell (I haven't been playing online for very long), there is no single unified server for an online campaign. You are usually able to find people to play with though
