Stuck...missing associates?

Not sure what I'm doing wrong... I can't seem to find the missing associates. My journal says to "Build up your status with the allied merchant faction?" How do you do this?

Also, I can't find the cave with the Red Dragon..I am sooooo sick of searching for it. It simply doesn't show up where it's supposed to.

At what point does Sa'Sani start to run again? Is it after I find those associates?

AND...one more thing, in the Onyx cave, I don't get the option for a darkness spell...I just read the inscription and reread it ad nauseaum... There's no way for me to open the door...

I can't get into that Viper Temple either. I think I'm missing a HUGE part of the campaign, but I'm not sure what. I'm thinking it's the associates?

Ok,. I found the missing associates, so I can continue playing the game...but the Red Dragon and Onyx questions are still issues for me...

Hi,
new here and only on second play through, but I'll try to help a little. I'm not recalling the red dragon stuff right now... .(details?).. but with the Onyx temple and the darkness spell, I was given the option (on my first play) to cast it off of a scroll. If you have a mage, or a character with high enough Use Magic Device, you should be able to read a scroll of it. If your mage does not have the Darkness spell known/memorized it should be available from the red wizard's minion in Neverwinter (The house with the 'Lawnmower golem'/ you may need to collect data for him once or twice before the minion sells it). If your mage knows Darkness, make sure it's memorized, or memorize it and cast it onto a blank scroll so that they have a scroll of it.

right click a character who is a mage or has high use magic device (that character is highlighted in the upper left)
press ~
type "DebugMode 1" (caps sensitive) and (no quotes) enter
type "giveitem nw_it_sparscr206" enter
type "DebugMode 0" enter
Press ~

That character now has a stack of 10 scrolls of Darkness.
