Audio switching from 7.1 to desktop speakers

Well I had a problem where no matter what I tried to do the speakers would go from Surround sound 7.1 to destop speakers. I looked all over forums to try and fix it and I finally found the issue. What you need to do is put a line in your nwn file under [sound options] I added this line to it "Speaker Type=5" Now when I play the game will actually stay in Surround Sound 7.1 and not jump down to desktop speakers

here is what my [sound options] are in my nwn file.

[Sound Options]
Music Volume=0.00
Voice Volume=0.85
SoundFX Volume=0.85
Environment Effects=1
2D3D Bias=1.00
3D Provider=Creative Labs EAX 3 (TM)
Number 2D Voices=32
Number 3D Voices=32
Environment Effects Level=1.00
Speaker Type=5

Hope this helps people, it took me forever to find the Speaker Type = 5 command.
