"Mining" quest?

If some of you recall, when u finish from the old owl well a miner comes up and he asks u for a job. Later, in act 2 u come up with a quest where a girl who is a miner too wants u to find her boss (port liast). After u find her boss dead a quest is coming up in the journal about mining work for her. Are these 2 person connected(?)and if so, how do we complete this quest ?

The miner at Old Owl Well didn't ask me for a job. He wanted me to tell him when I had the caves clear of enemies. So he could get back in. I havn't gone back to the one in Fort Llast yet. I wll and see what I can find out.

OK.I've found what to do with the above characters. I talk to them and they came all to the fort.

maybe you wish to create a new thread about finding ore. else people who also are looking for ore wont try this thread since its about a quest.

Off topic, but is there a quest about ore? or just for the xp for finding it?

It's pretty on topic, as it is a quest...kinda. You need ore to upgrade weapons and armor at your keep. You need one ore deposit for 1 armor and 1 weapon upgrade. Found another one in the mountains with the quest to get the alliance of the Ironfist clan near the prisonier cage.

Hmm... i found ore in the cave where the fire-blast globs are located.If i remember they where used to blast a wall of rocks in order to get to a cave.Cant recall names though.Something else: u said that the guy of the fort becames the armorsmith. Who is the weaponsmith of the fort and who is the priest of the church. And if there are any people wgo must be invited plz post them.

Man i cant find these 2 ore deposits u say in the ember nearby caves.Wth am i blind?Plz some help.

It's usually found in the remains of creatures you have killed. Which can be easy to miss, because sometimes it's slow to appear. If I kill a lot of enimies, I usually hang for a few seconds, just in case.

I believe you re wrong...Because i found ore in an area (in a cave) as others users did. I never found ore as a loot...

I found one in the caves under Ember where you pick up the glowstone.

I think i know what Lurchman was getting at, yes, you can find ore off monsters and as loot... but it cannot be used for the ore required for the keep by the 2 blacksmiths.. the ore you pick up off monsters is simply that ore, used in making armor, weapons, etc... the ore required for the keep has to be found, and mined by the miners you hired, from Old owl well and Port Llast... see my post under the Commander of the keep (http://www.thieves-guild.net/forum/showthread.php?t=115) for more details...
