My install: It's fresh. Just installed the game yesterday and installed all the patches the auto updater found.

I get tann back to the fort, we proceed to take down the Lt. and then we walk into the fort. At this point nothing happens, if I talk to tann he just keeps mentioning how we need to get back to the fort even though he's standing right inside the gate. Any idea how to fix this? ( the partyadd 5982 trick did nothing for me)

THe problem is most likely a mis-firing script but the cause is more difficult to track down.

Are you running the game with any haks in your override folder? Far too often the cause of misfiring scripts can be attributed directly to this. If so, remove and restart the game from BEFORE you rescued Tann.

If you are running a no-cd hack, remove it. Conflicts with no-cd hacks are often a common reason for game glitches such as this.

It's also possible that your saved games have become corrupted by the auto-updater and that is the cause. It's a known problem that should be fixed with the v1.07 patch.

Make sure your hard drive is defragged ( i know it sounds silly but surprisingly it does help).

Did you find all three of Tann's men or is that quest still open?

The best advice I can give you is to follow the above steps and reload a saved game from BEFORE you rescued Tann, or from right after rescuing him but before you set off in search of his men. No guarantees that it will help though.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply.

I don't have any "hacks" not even sure what that is. (If it's related to mods then no, I don't have any.)

I'm using the CD to run the game.

I ran the auto-updater all the way to 1.07 before I even loaded the game up.

I found all three men and it's closed.

I don't have a previously saved game. I didn't expect to have to watch out for bugs in a game over a year old. Thanks for your time. :) Any more tips on what to try other than just starting over? :(

If your override folders are empty, then I'm stumped. I can think of no good reason why the quest should have glitched.

If you've already completed the bandit quest, that I would say just let it go, keep on playing and hope for the best. It's NOT a show stopping bug.

This quest was supposed to be all fixed in a MUCH earlier version of the game, so why it's giving you trouble now I don't know.

I would STRONGLY suggest that you maintain multiple saves in the future - just in case. And defrag your hard drive. :) It can't hurt and it has solved problems like this for some people.

Sorry but that's the best I can do. :)
