Game's crashing while chasing the assassins..

Hi gotta bit of a problem. I'm in Act 1 and have gone back to the warehouse area (off the merchants quarter) to kill the assassins in the house nearby. Thing is the game keeps crashing whenever I enter a certain room.

To attempt to remedy this i've reinstalled and patched to no avail. I'm playing the game through for the second time and had no problems before. I also have searched the forums but found nothing.

any ideas?

The gith hideout has some very extreme bloom effects, is your videocard ok? Latest drivers and all that. You can always check at the System req lab (http://www.systemrequirementslab .com/referrer/srtest).

Also, perhaps it's a patch related issue. Did any patching in between? What's your current patch version? Installed any hackpacks, anything added in the override dir?

Let us know if the re-install solves any problems. Try doing a totally CLEAN re-install - NO 3rd party haks or mods. There might be some conflicts with those.

tried a clean re-intall and patched it. also updated my card drivers but still no joy. it only happens when they enter a certain room which has two doors and it doesn't matter which door they go through, the game crashes.

was wondering if leaving the area completely and going back might help. :confused:

quick uninstalll and defrag solved it...

Amazing what a simple uninstall/defrag/reinstall can do. :) Glad it's all sorted out.
