Any other color schemes available? I didn't see any options of that sort so far.

Nope. What you see is what you get. Send a pm to cal1s and maybe he'll change the text color to something a bit brighter. :santa:

I had the darnedest time with the Quick Reply. Got "Report", and Rating, etc. The Quick Reply wa sthe last of four icons I tried.

Thanks for an answer; not one I prefer, however.

Cal1s is the adminstrator for the site, so all questions / requests regarding the site's format should be directed to him. :D Sorry if that isn't exactly the answer you wanted, but it's up to Cal1s to make those changes. :D

I did send him a PM. He did not answer.

There certainly is very little message traffic here this month. Is it your belief that a high proportion of those who would otherwise be actively posting are so young they have not finished school? Our college students here stateside tend to goof off for three and a half months, and then must get better than merely decent grades on final exams to pass, so if they have any hopes of graduating, they finalyy get around to studying during December and May.

Otherwise, it would seem that site promotion is at such a very low level that the normal gradual attrition has reduced the community size to an unsustainable level?

I'm a regular on this site and i'm 14, but many of the people here are older, including (i think) all the mods. Theres not much activity but we're just waiting for the expansion.

Quite so, I think we covered about everything there is to cover for NWN2. And we don't feel like starting a massive flamewar amongst each other. So yea, I guess it's pretty quiet right now. We're waiting for either the expansion to come, or our PW project to be started up again. Or any other big project somebody would start, really.

Why don't you check out the Thieves-guild.net chat on IRC? We're quite active there. The server we're on is 'chat.neverwinterconnecti ons.com' and the channel is '#thieves-guild.net'.

There is always something to talk about, even if it's only slightly small, like a new better faces mod for the NPCs, or the plan for the next PC upgrade.

For instance, if a real diehard ATI video fanboy planned to replace his X1K card with an HD 2K card, how does the large gap between what the top HD 2900 XT can do, versus the two top 8800 cards' performances, radically affect his planning?

There has not been an acknowledgement, not even a go to hell. Has the boy abdicated? The community doesn't find out until the lease on the domain name expires?

Busy with exams perhaps. Not sure. I've seen him visit here on occassion from time to time. Perhaps he's spending most of his time over in the Chat?

In truth, there isn't much more we can add to the site until the expansion comes out except to keep the community posted on new modules like Purgatorio or The Black Hound.

I have the opinion that if a site owner has such small interest, he should sell out, give it away, close it down, whatever. Not just ignore it and the users thereon.

With all due respect, there are over 10,000 users on this site and your complaint is the first one I have seen about the site format. Personally I like the color scheme and I don't find it hard to read at all.

Without making excuses for cal1s, there are a thousand possible reasons for his lack of response. I have no idea how many pm's he gets in a day except that he recently upped our pm quota to 400 - so obviously he DOES get quite a few. Perhaps he just doesnt think it's worth a reply or maybe he is tied up with real life issues. But to suggest that he should shut down the site seems a bit over the top, don't you think? :D

Aww :( You still have a few of the mods that log in several times a week. Keep faith. We are not always able to be here. I am not always able to answer certian questions. But some of are still around often. :)

Take care

nah, it was talked about once before.

kiwi person thing.

go to your display properties
find the brightness/contrast setting tool
run it. fix your brightness/contrast as instructed

if that fails, get a new monitor. (cause you have a really old one)

if that fails, get your eyes tested.

if two complementing colours are hard to read when put against each other then there is something wrong with the way they are being displayed, either on the monitor or your brain.

you are the second person i have heard complain and i think the first fixed his monitor.

now, saying that cal1s should step down is a little harsh. sometimes one is busy and cant help but neglect one thing a little. and i hardly think it matters. this site is dead at the moment. it will liven up when the expansion comes out.

if you want to start a thread, then go ahead and do jt. i really dont understand why people complain when a site is dead and thats all they are doing.
