It seems to me that the rate of members is getting slower and slower. 9th Feb there where 10000, now there are 10132, which is about 5.5 a day. Any ideas why no one seems to be joining?

A few.
Obviously, the number of people interested in fansites isn't infinite. And most of them will prolly go straight to the Vault if they need something. In other words, we're running out of people.
Second, quite some people will have finished the OC already (I haven't, but I'm lazy). Or at least passed the phase where they have to ask 'How do I do x'-questions.
Last, but not least. I think you'll find the PW's attracting more people now, as they are currently going online soon or already went online.I assume most people currently need something to lenghten their gameplay, not explain anymore how to do this or that.
Just my opinion. Which, as we all know, is quite unimportant.
the only true reason for this is, that we opened up our site a month ago (if you have missed it). that means, you don't need to register an account any more to view all the content. prior you had to be registered and logged in to read all the sections we have or enter the download area and download stuff. it's all free now. that's why we don't have the crazy registration numbers daily we had a few months ago.
i regularly check the stats of our site and the numbers show that our site is still very popular. just check for instance the download section. the full v1.04 patch has been downloaded over 5000 times.
cheers,
cal1s

that and nothing really happens on the forums anymore.
people that still have questions to ask can probably find the answers around somewhere, as people have already asked and answered most of the important questions, most of it has been exhausted. though i am alittle surprised that people actually go and find the answers instead of making duplicate threads... but then i suppose that would require registration... its probably easer to use the search thing... and the search thing probably works here...
so the forum usage has gone noticeably down. though the open site thing explaines why we had so many people joining in the first place.
heh, id never noticed... i just like lurking on forums i guess... think i need to go spam off topic a little to get some kind of usage out of these forums... i just need a new topic for the a new thread...
yes, that is right.
i can see in the stats that the forums are still frequented a lot. and people browse the threads and use the search function. so the forum is still being used on a daily basis and as you said, most of the important questions are answered so people often dont require to create a new thread.
