Im sorry for being ignorant, but what is a facebook?

Facebook is a website kinda like myspace, in the aspect that anyone can join. It was originally for high school and college allum/students.. You can create a profile, and anyone on your friends list is tied to you via news feeds, wall posts(comments), and photo albums. They have a group section, that members can create their own groups about anything they want. And that's what I did, created a group for Thieves-guild.net... posting news, and linking to the website.

ps.. and not knowing what it was, doesn't display being ignorant.
