If i had that much time i would (and dragonlance!), its not my favourite world which is why i don't play it that much.
for me personally. I like how you get attached to your charactors. Most of all. I LOVE player made modules and how they keep the game new and fresh all the time. :)

I also like the NWN & NWN2 modding thing, but i think Oblivion is just a bit better because you can mod the main campaign.
you can do that in nwn2, too :)

I tried Oblivion. I could not stand the mobility in it. :( to bad to, b/c it looked interesting to me. I love NWN 1&2 though! and will untill they take it away! hehe

Sorry cal1s, didn't know. Can you choose whever to play with it, or play with a different mod and can you combine the 2 mods in NWN2?
I like the 1st person and the free will about Oblivion, and i think that if NWN2 should also change to first person, but you could go from character to charater.

You can play Oblvion as a third person view but the controls are a bit hard. NWN2 has a better main plot then Oblivion (not morrowind), but there are so many other quests that even after 1 year of player there are quests i am doing every day.
Yep, tried the third person. hense why I say the mobility was awful for me. hehe
oh well *sighs* first person gives me migraines.

i thought there was very little to do in oblivion. the quests that where there where great (the assassinations in the manor) but there where not enough of them.
its just, "hay, lets go dungeon bashing" honestly

Sorry to say, that there are:
Mages Guild quests
Thieves Guild quests
Dark Brotherhood quests
Fighters Guild quests
100 Miscellaneous quests
10's of other things you can do (including putting the whole world into goblin wars)
9 Houses (2 with quests)
9 horse (well 8, ones being.. eaten)
And much more

100?
or not
and there is no where to go either... its mostly just open space. where are the small towns?
oblivion had very little re-playability.

I played the entire game in 3rd person. Everytime I found an archery target, I practiced my aim in third person. (no 3rd person cursor for me) The game, however got very boring very quickly and I soon took it off my computer completely. Morrowind on the other hand I played for almost 2 years without a single mod and enjoyed every minute of it.
For me its the story and the characters that are quite interesting but most of all I feel that the possibilities of creating you character in many different ways is very nice. It is the game with the best performing wizards and sorcerers imo.
It just a great game!

I must agree with that, its a great place here.
Oblivion does have many quests which have interesting twists. The reason why Morrowind was Much longer was because there was no fast travel which meant you had to walk or go to a nearby port place. There are more quests in Oblivion then in Morrowind, many interesting things you can do, many of which you don't relise. Morrowind diffenitly had a better story, but many of its guild quests weren't that interesting.
The most appealing thing about NWN2 is the use of D&D rules (as wrecked as they are). I love the game, and having a way to play when you can't gather your PnP group is really nice. I've my disappointments where the mechanics of the game are concerned but after playing with what there is you can almost forget about them.
After playing Oblivion, the lack of falling objects, including my character, would be my biggest disappointment.

Thats is also why i play it.

It would be good if they made it more 3D, real world, like morrowind. They unfortunatly took part of this away in Oblivion, but i would really like to see fly in NWN3.
