Commander Tann Issues! Post here!

I've defeated the shadow priest and found two soldiers in the crypt. Commander Tann accompanied me back to Fort Locke and Lt. Vallis was defeated. Tann still talks about finding his remaining troops in the crypt and the quest is still active. Where is this missing soldier or is this perhaps a bug? The two that I found were each behind one of the gates lifted by the lever in the shadow priest chamber.

One soldier will be found dead in one of the rooms on they way back from to the exit...

Look for all doors, I know I missed acouple first time I went through... Dont know if its because I have low graphics settings but I often find myself missing doors... ;)

yep i also noticed that in dungeons doors are hard to see. so turn around the camera often ... you must ve missed one door.

Cal1s is right. Learn to turn the camera more often and get in the habit of sweeping the room with your mouse pointer. That way, anything that is there will be highlited.

you can also try pressing "z" while you are in a room or dungeon. that will highlight everything "useable" though spoilering too much imho and can reduce your fun .. but it can come handy when youve already swept a certain dungeon/room and just wanna get sure you havent missed anything ...

Hi mates,

I am completely trapped on the "Commander Tann" graveyard quest.

I freed all the men for him and when I go to talk to Commander Tann again he says "Thank you finding my men. Let's get back to the Fort. I need to warn them about this place" ..

But when I get to the Fort there's nothing there... Nothing happens.

What do I need to do more ? :(

If you have rescued all the men and return to the fort, you should be greeted by a scene in which the lieutenant tries to take control of the fort, if you do not get this scene, then yes this is a bug and you will need to post on the official forums to find a solution to this, only other thing I can suggest is updating to the newest version of the game if you have not already.

Ok I got it. IT's a known bug.

I actually had to use the NWN2 command prompt to solve it out.

What game version are you using - or what patches have you installed?

Did Cmmdr Tann join your party before you went looking for his soldiers? (his pic should be in the party bar on the right)

Did you encounter Vallis before you re-entered Fort Locke with Tann?

There are a number of variations of bugs involving Tann and Vallis, and most of them have been solved with existing patches.

If you aren't patched to version 1.03 and you have a save game prior to the graveyard, you should probably patch the game and restart from the save game.

More importainly than patch: what version of the no-cd crack are you using?
(i'm assuming you have a crack?).
Using a v1.00 crack with the v1.3 patch could cause problems, and i belive commandor Tann is one of them.

I belive a crack for v1.3840 has recently been reliased.
Also, there is a thing called "poseidon image"...


And most important: am i allowed to talk about crack in this forum?
I'm just trying to help, but if it is agains the rules, then I'll follow them obviously.

I have found (on one occasion anyway) that a cut-scene will not activate if you are in control of another character other than your own. This happened to me on the first meet of Casivir.

I could not get Commander Tann to go to Fort Locke to complete that quest. I released his men, my journal noted that but nothing else happened. Can I just move on to other quests? Will ignoring this quest affect the remainder of the game?

If your journal updated saying you comlpeted the quest. I'd probly not worry about it. It seems a lot of had this bug.

If you should experience any problems during that quest, please post here. If Commander Tann is not following you although you have rescued all soldiers and the journal was updated. try this:

press ~ to open console
type: "DebugMode 1"
"partyadd 5982"
"DebugMode 0"
(without the quotation marks of course)

To get rid of him after getting to Fort Locke:
press ~ to open console
type: "DebugMode 1"
"partyremove 5982"
"DebugMode 0"

this will add him to your party and you should be able to complete that quest!
