Duskwood - Best solutions ??

Well, at the Duskwood quest, there's this dryad who informed you that the forest is dying. The glowstone is slowly killing everything ( even sapping my spells ?). Well, i agree with Elanee to save the woods.

Has anyone discovered any way to do just that ? Is it possible to get the outcome of you saving Duskwood ?

Hmm, i've never had that happen before!

Anyway, if it is possible, you'll have to head down the Well in Ember, there you'll find the glowstone.

Actually, the dying of Duskwood and the glowstone are unrelated. Duskwood is dying because too many trees have been cut and the Dryad has "other" plans for the glowstone that she does not share with you.

Depending on your alignment and how much you RP your game, you do have a few options on how to play this scenario out. I have gotten the Dryad the glowstone and I have killed her as well and it seems to make little difference to your future options. Even having the glowstone in your inventory after everyone has been killed does nothing for your character that I could see.

I've played that Dryad encounter three different ways, getting her the glowstone (naw didn't like killing the goblins to do it), killing the dryad (better but still not acceptable), and agreeing to get the glowstone for her but pickpocketing the alteration dust from her. I don't remember though if the last solution actually closes off the quest or not. If not, then solution 2 would be my choice.

But none of those three solutions ever resulted in the Duskwood being *healed*. They do however have slightly different influence results depending on exactly who is in your party. :)

Hmm, too bad for Duskwood then. I had thought those gloomy eerie green lights on the ground of Duskwood could be blamed on that glowstone.

Well, looks like there's no way to save Duskwood.

Btw, i would have love the see the face of that liar from Port Llast if he really DID meet the dryad ... well surrounded by Dire Bears, Dire Rats, Dire Wolf, etc.

p/s: why should Dire Bear be deadliest there? Now, a Dire Gorilla would have been a terror of the jungle ...

Also, you can use your high bluff skill to bluff her to give you the alteration powder.
I got the powder from her that way, and then i returned to kill her after I got the glowstone too ^^.
Worth saying: if you chose to fight the dryad, and you have Elanee in your party, the wild animals surounding the tree wont fight you, making this alot easier.
