i have the forgotten realms archive somewhere in my cupboard with every historical AD&D computer game in a compilation.

but my first AD&D computer game was "eye of the beholder" :)

i extremly look forward for this project to be finished :)

i've just downloaded and tested it.
it's really awesome for an alpha version. the atmosphere is already there and the building of the module is at this state already almost perfect and beautiful. I liked the way NPCs react to you and that most inns are done.

im very looking forward seeing this project finished.

Well, I chedked it out. It was great except one thing. The cutsceens had no voice. It kind of made me think "why even have the cutsceen then" ? But that is probly something getting added later. Looking forward to the real realese!

Woah, talking about fast development...
I'm always interested in the works of others, certainly in a well-respected modmember as Wayne. Who knows, I might just learn a thing or two.

Downloading now!

You'll wait until it is complete? Now that is some restraint! Considering it will be realesed in 4 parts! lol I just do not have that kind of patience!

I'm like you guys: I played a lot with NWN1 drow modules and enjoyed them.

I'm really happy to see Markus has joined NWN2 and still wants to build something huge for us.

I think I'm gonna wait at least beta version to jump into this new saga but I wont wait more than that because I'm impatient and it's important to give feedback to him.

This module/campaign is SOLID!

I spent a few days playing it, and it brought back all sorts of memories... well, no "rune wheels" or anything...

Everything about this module is so solid that it looks like you're playing an official campaign. Well, you do see a few rough spots and a few glitches, but they're minor.

The biggest change is that you cannot simply rest wherever you want... you need to find a bed or something... either that or you have to buy supply kits which allow you to make campfires and rest. This makes a Cleric much more important... in the OC and MotB the Clerics really were fighter hybrids that could turn undead and cast spells... sure, they could heal, but it wasn't important since you could rest anywhere.

I also like playing the low-levels again... where a well placed sleep spell rules and cure light wounds goes a long way.

I highly recommend this module.

sounds good.
i also prefer the "cannot rest anywhere" feature ... brings back memories ... baldurs gate anyone?

Just thought I'd post a note.

Wayne is now in the process of bringing "A Hunt Through the Dark" to NWN2!
I've been fortunate enough to work with him on PORR, and now AHTtD. From what I've seen so far of AHTtD, it will be every bit as professional as PORR.
The only weak point may be the narrator...<cough, cough...me...ahem> :D

Wayne is very talented, and the depth of his attention to detail is inspiring to us lesser modders.

Cheers

Hi cal1s,

The beginning areas are still very much in alpha, with Wayne's attention to detail there's really no way of giving any kind of a time table yet. :D

Pool of Radiance Remastered is certainly in it's finished state.

A Hunt Through the Dark Remastered is moving along swimmingly. On a side note, I have resigned from doing the narration so the professional voice actors who have volunteered may take center stage. They deserve it. :)

I've finished this mod the third time now and though it doesn't give you that much oppurtunities to do different things, apart from different dialogue and such. It really offers a high replayablilty, because it just feels right, the fights, the balancing, the level progression, the items, the companions. It's not too easy and not too hard. It's a highly entertaining, great mod, very well done.
