It would be hard to post mine, since I change it about once a week. Usually I have a screenshot from a game I'm playing, or some silly or interesting picture I find. I spend quite a bit of time in front of this thing, so I get bored easily. So I change it a lot.

I know this is going to seem very "stuck" in my ways. However, I have had that mushroom desktop through the last 3 computers I have owned. :D
That is 4+ years of the same desktop! I have no clue why I am so fond of them. They are just to cool! hehe

I don't know if it's that I get bored of one, or if I just find one that I like and want to use it. But they never last very long. Four years with the same one, I thought there was a law against that. :D

Your desktops actually look clean, amazing.Trust me on this. it isn't hard to get a clean desktop ;)

For those that doesn't know:
Fluxbox is a windowmanager (like explorer. (But explorer have much more effects, witch also makes it slower))
Fluxbox doesn't have support for icons for the desktop Becourse, that have nothing with windows, to do.
With Fluxbox you start app. etc with the menu or(/and) with there perfect support for keys (ie hotkeys)
I persenaly think that menu get to messy if you shall have a menuline for everything you use on the desktop, so I only use keys:D

Just think of it: No icons on desk!

No messy menu!
You can use the computer as good as if you got those of above, If it isn't even more usable this way! :D

I think I would love Windows too, if it ever got to be as wonderful and usable like *nix :)

wow! that is a lot of icons on your screne! It would drive me bonkers! I go through every couple of weeks and clear anything I let get added to my desktop. Typically it just has the (My computer, Recycle, and my network places" Even my IE is on my task bar. :p

That would be too empty for me :p
Still, there are here and there some shortcuts that I don't really use that much. But if I'd throw them away, I suddenly need them quite a lot.
*sigh* Perhaps I just have a little to much stuff on my computer, but I'm more someone who would buy a second monitor to fit everything on it rather than throw something away. :D

just fixed my res, (why have 1280x1024 instead of 1280x960 when it is the wrong aspect put together with the other standards is beyond me) and changed my back... and this one is takeing time to get used to.

im used to single coloured or themed walls... this one is bright and multi-coloured...

im going to have to detext it though.

Well, I love icons. "Nur Idioten halten Ordnung, ein Genie beherrscht das Chaos." For the non German talking people it means something like: "Only the idiots like the order, a genius dominates chaos." j/k

Anyway, it is a picture I took in Bretagne in september last year. I change it once a month though. I dont like artificial pics on my desktop, if they arent taken by myself I search on the net for a very nice pic of nature or something alike.

heh, my windows part on my laptop is worse than that. and you should see some of my dir lisings... thing is i just do everything through a terminal, so dont need anything on my desktop but an icon box.

ive been finding lately that when im in windows i get really annoyed with icons.... you cant click them through things.... you have to move open windows to use them!!!!! i think im going to have to turn the start menu into a proper wharf.... or get cedega working... then i just need someone to write a back end into the LiDE70... then i would never have to use the damn thing again... hmmm i might play with cvs tomorrow i think.
