Nice work!! Couple questions though. Did you get "givegold" to work? I tried and couldn't, and I've had several other people tell me they couldn't either. And with the stats like STR, did you find that they would only go so far according to your level?
nope....
the Set ATT commands go to 50 maximum...
and dm_givegold works fine...
so long as you have your character selected by right clicking
NOTE: all ARE case sensitive ;)

How do you set ATT commands to 50? It may also be worth mentioning that next to the give gold command, as i've never got it to work either ;)
And for the givexp command, i'd recomend it said the following:
givexp
Usage: givexp <x>
(Where <x> is the amount you wish to give or remove)
Description: This function will give or remove the amount of experience points specified to the character selected.
Note: If your main character is selected this amount will also be given to your companions, if a companion is selected then this amount will be given just to them. If you wish to remove experience points, just add a minus sign beforehand e.g. -100 would remove 100 experience points.

How do you set ATT commands to 50?
Right click character...
go to console and enter DebugMode 1
then type...
SetSTR 50
lol
That simple :p
givexp command fixed to btcentral's description ;)
rofl, whoops.
Thought this was in the private section XD - otherwise i'd have just edited your post myself.
I also miss read and thought you said you had to use the set ATT to get the givegold command to work :p - which is why I asked what it was.
Oh well. I'll go make myself look more stupid elsewhere...

Ahoi everyone!
I'm really interested in that resetlevels command... I messed up my last level up, and hence I will not get the desired extra feats from my prestiege class. I don't have any pervios save games, so it would be nice to get this command work.
I got the advice to give myself minus xp, then command: resetlevels.
Now there is my problem, as the program said there is no such command, and so on.
Do you have any idea what could be wrong? It's a 1.03 game, and the character is a fighter/weapon master who wants some frenzied berserker levels. I'm at the end of the second act, and I dont want to start it again.
If you know any other method to "level down" (at worst case even to zero), please tell me. I dont want to cheat onthe extra feats. That would be evem more so lame, than leveling up as a fighter instead of FB. :D
Thanks In advance...
Ah that's ok then, I haven't gone completely mad... yet :p

To level down just to do a "givexp -n" to deduct xp, dropping you a level and then give it back.
That doesnt work. You lose xp not levels this way. You can go down as 0 xp, but the "next level" will be at 120000xp. and you will remain a fighter /WM.
givexp -n worked. resetstats wont.
I cant even get my Debug mode console working. What am I doing wrong?
went to the C:\Programmer\Atari\Never winter Nights 2\nwnplayer
and typed the following under Game Options DebugMode=1, saved the text and started the game, but i didnīt work even though i Typed `for the british or ~ for American keyboards.
whatīs wrong?
No idea - DebugMode=1 in nwnplayer.ini never worked for me though.
I suggest just using chat to enter the commands.
Hit enter, delete the /t (or whatever it is) then use a ## prefix to every command, e.g. ##DebugMode 1
Hope this helps.

ill try that, thanks a lot
went to the C:\Programmer\Atari\Never winter Nights 2\nwnplayer

There is no need to edit the nwnplayer.ini file
its already activated
besides that in NWN1 it was NWN.ini :p

then use the resetlevels command
(note: may need to drop to 100 xp or something, and then add it back later ;) )
Thanks for the commands, Euphoric!!! :D By using the command 'sky' I finally fixed the issue I was having where broken up red, blue, white, and grey streaks made up the sky. A word of caution, however, when using the 'resetlevels' command, as I lost all of my History Feats except Blessed of Waukeen and Merchant's Friend. I even lost the Harborman feat!!!

Np man,
i lost all my feats too and i only found out about 5 mins ago when i went to take NW9 lol

That sucks. :( Luckily I noticed it as I was starting a new game... Where I meet Neeshka. By the way, the sky screws up again when I enter a new area...dunno why. Oh well. Look at attachment.
Looks to me like there's a problem with your graphics card.

Well it works fine when I use the 'sky' command...until I leave an area. Also even with almost everything but shadows set to high, my game does not lag any. I have NVidia GeForce 7300 GT...what would you suggest I replace it with? :(
looks to me, from the screenshot, that there's a problem with mipmapping and visual distance settings.. purhaps turn some settings down? who knows... when was the last time you updated video drivers?

Never, I just got this computer to replace my older gaming computer. Apparently you cannot get a new computer that comes with anything much better than a GeForce 7300. You have to buy the better ones seperately. But hmmm... minimapping and visual distance settings? You mean the options where you can select Point, Linear, etc...?
yeah...
and what do you mean, can't get a better video card with a new computer than a geForce 7300? lmao my laptop I bought back in Sept, has a GeForce 7900 GT 265mb :p

Not a homecomputer here at Gateway or BestBuy you cannot...and well...Dell sucks! :D Anyway, soon I am replacing it with an 8800!
meh... build your own... it's the only way to do it..you get exactly what you want at the time... and saves money in the long run, only upgrade the parts you need vs. buying a whole computer later

Nah... it would have actually cost more seeing as how many things were obsolete. We got it back in like 2003 for $3,600. Besides...it is not my money, so what's to lose? I'm spoiled and proud of it! :D
That's a Lie! Both my desktop and laptop are Dell's, and i've never had any problems with them. My Desktop is over 4 years old - and still almost as up to date as any current desktop! Though it needs a graphics card upgade sometime soon :p has a 256MB GeForce FX 5500 I bought a year or so ago still :(
Dell are the computer manufacturer :p
Dell sucks!
lmao, I used to work for Dell after I got out of highschool... did technical support for laptops. then i went to college at DeVRY University... good computers, they have their quirks.. but i'd still rather build my own desktops... and laptops... alienware :p

Yea, building your own computer is better... But as I said, Gateway you can get just as good as Dell, cheaper. Also, I don't like companies who mass-advertise, lol. Anyway...I will be sure to change the draw distance when I get home to see if it helps. Thanks again Wandaien! I just hope it works... :p I don't think it is my graphics card though because whenever I use auto-detect, it sets everything to max...
yeah, just trying lowering your video settings in-game, something below max... this should speed up your game a bit too, wont be as laggy during really graphical intense areas, like outdoors, major battles, etc.. i used to have to do the same thing back when i played Everquest, lowered the graphics down for major raids.. so I would lag to death...lmao

It does not lag any no matter where I am except the Room of Winter in the Temple of Seasons... But is there anything else I should experiment with besides Draw Distance? Early on I changed the Shadows to low, the maximum number of Lights Per Object to 2, and turned of water reflection/refraction.
The auto-detect... doesn't work as it should to say the least.
For my Laptop Graphics card (that isn't even supported!) It sets everything to max apart from shadows.

Excellent post.
I have some questions though.
I see you have written how to configure the attributes, but what about the skills?
How do you set skills, like "diplomatic" to a set value?
Also, do you have any feat code list? Like the item ID code list?
Hello again RilleL, on behalf of the Thieves-Guild.net Team - welcome to the forums :)
As for the first question, i'm pretty sure it is not possible - without directly modifying the save game files in your save directory using a tool such as Gffeditor.
For your second question - we have a full list here (http://www.thieves-guild.net/forum/showthread.php?t=174).
Hope this helps!

Heh, you're fast...
I can barly post a post or message a pm without you replying on it instantly ^^
About the skill set: Bah. I guess i just have to create an item with skill bonuses... ^^
My toolset got strange after the 1.03 patch though, i cannot view the properties, which were the reason i asked about the debug commands for skills. Oh well...

We try :D
And BT probably tries the most :p
Its not possible to modify skills in game,
but you can add feats and stats to increase them...
or you can PM me or BT and we'll sort out a tutorial on how to do it with gff editor ;)
The toolset has always been bugged for me on my laptop, but works fine on my PC... who knows why! - I'm hoping re-installing Windows tomorrow will sort it, I think my .NET framework setup may be bugged, and un-installing/re-installing doesn't do anything... so hopefully that'll fix it :p
And I reply as soon as I see a post (provided I can answer it) - and usually check the forums every few hours, and stay on for an hour or so answering posts at a time if need be.

I'm probably just usually on the most :)
Being a mod is good fun, and keeps me busy (in my spare time).

Thanks, but i'm gonna try my way first.
I usually create a custom item and just play around, but as i said, my toolset got really strange after the 1.03 patch. I even re-installed the game and re-updated it, but the problem still remains. Take a look:
http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/5048/picture1lr0.jpg
I have selected the holy avenger sword, and i can still view the properties info.
http://img325.imageshack.us/img325/5903/picture2zt7.jpg
But when i select it with the intention of customize it, all the properties dissapears.
Strangly enough, i could view the properties of one of the rouges items in the item set...
Neitherless to say, i didn't have this problem in 1.02.
Any suggestions?
Hmm, very odd! Have you tried re-installing the .NET 2.0 framework? If not i'd try that! - Apart from that all I can suggest is waiting til Oblivion actually makes the toolset useable :p
Ehm... how to i re-install the .NET 2.0 framework then?
I don't even know what that is... >.<
Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs find "Microsoft .NET framework 2.0" in the list, click Change/Remove and uninstall.
Restart your PC.
Download the .NET framework 2.0 here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=085 6eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en).
Re-install :p
Sorry for the slow reply by the way - i'm working on my Playable Companion (http://www.thieves-guild.net/forum/showthread.php?t=265) project :)

Are you sure? When i try to uninstall it, the add/remove program says it's 122MB.
On the download site it's only 22.4MB big.
I don't want to mess something up.
I'm sure - it generates a load of files.

Ok, i've re-installed it, and it still doesn't work!
Man i'm ******! And there is no way to increase your skills with the debug either right? AArrrg, i just hate to have low skillpoints in the conversation skills (diplomacy, intimitate, bluff ect).
I usually create a ring with like +20 on each of the skills at the start of the OC... -.-
Since my toolset doesn't work (I hate you patch 1.03!), is there any way to increase your skillpoints?

It does not lag horribly with everything maxed...it does lag though, which bothers me. Anyway...the sky is still screwed up even after a toy around with everything. For some reason it fixes when I put the comand in for it though, but only temporarily...it is annoying me to no end.
you can use a gff editor and change whatever aspects of your char that you want

Is there any kind of command in debug mode that can remove or edit the journal in campaign?? got some Journal stuck in my game.... i playing act 2 but the journal wizard's arsenal is always there in the bottom of quest.... even if i revisited the house, when i restart the game the quest is come back again.... so anyone... please....
I don't recall that quest from the OC but unless it's preventing you from advancing the plot I wouldn't worry about it.
