I got asked if there was a way to change your party within the crossroads keep without having to goto the map screen etc. and thought this would be useful for everyone, you can do it at any point in the game (provided you have companions of course)

Bring up console. (`) type the following:

DebugMode 1
rs kr_roster_edit

Close console (`)
(making sure to hit enter after every line typed)

A dialogue will apear, click the first option (or press 1)
Then you can change your party to whoever you like...

After that open up console again, type DebugMode 0
Then close the console.

Enjoy!

Is it possible to mod the UI to make a button that does this?

If so that would be VERY useful :)

Thanks, I used this trick last night.

I noticed there were other options in that dialog box than just change your party.

IIRC, there was somnething about resetting the experience of NPC's, and being able to change the max number of pary members.

There were others, but I don't remember exactly what they were.

I presume the first would be useful to "roll back" a NPC to let you change what skills, feats, spells, etc. you gave them as they leveled up. At least I assume that the NPC would still have the experience and you are simply dropping their level counter.

yeah, i would only mess with those other options on a game you aren't worried about messing up...

I upped my party limit with just the cheat.
However while travelling from Duskwood to Neverwinter I have lost Casavir.
He no longer shows up on my roster either.
How can I fix this?

With this you'll have more luck posting on the official forums than here - sounds like a bug to me!

Probably is a bug. I was hoping someone knew of a solution to fix it. :(
Sheesh I haven't registered my NWN2 on the official forums. Annoying to do that just to post a question or bug.

Maybe one of the patches will allow you to do this? I have never used a console in anything but BG2, and then only because of a game ending bug.:o

Those other options in that menu come with warnings on other websites that they can totally screw up your game. The only known fix for the lost Casavir is to reload a save game prior to losing him.

Found this on the official site...
do you have the ROS-xxx.ros files for the missing characters in your savegame directory?

if not you can try this typing this in inside the game

`
DebugMode 1
rs ga_roster_remove ("xxx")
rs ga_roster_add ("xxx", "co_xxx")
DebugMode 0
`

where xxx is the lowercase, first name of your companion

ie ammon_jerro (he doesn't follow the sandard rule), bishop, casavir, grobnar, elanee, khelgar, neeshka, qara, sand, or zhjaeve

the old savegame method is preferable as you get a more recent version of the npc.
