View Full Version : Act III Start question

Ok, I'm probably being very blind here, but for the life of me, I can't find the 'hidden door' located on the 'wall beneath one of the tapestries in the hall' that Nevalle tells you about after you fight off the first wave of attackers in Castle Never. This is right after the start of Act III when you are going to be knighted and you're new task is to reach and protect Lord Nasher.
I've patrolled all the hallways and can't find the blasted doorway. I keep coming back to the locked gates and as best I can figure in the very poorly designed layout of the castle hallways (poor b/c you can never get the blasted camera angle to show the hallways without some banner or wall blocking your sight!), I've checked every tapestry.
Please help! Where is this secret entrance to 'Undernever' or whatever it was called?
the path leading there through the hallways is where you will encounter enemies...
you come to a little room with 3 shadow priests and its the tapestry on the right ;)
There two doors.
Exit the guard room, go to the first intersecton. Turn right, go to the end, and turn right. The first door should be there.
That door leads to a hall, kill the enemy, go to the next door. Open that door, fight two vampires. Turn left, go down till you meet three shadow priests. Kill them. The door behind the tapestry is in the lower right hand side. Or if your facing the room at the end of the hall, turn right. Attack the tapestry, and expose the door.

Just to clarify, since I was fooled by this for a bit.
The first door Lurchman refers to may at first appear to be a dead end.
When you are standing in the hallway, you will see some stairs going down and a what appears to be a doorway.
If you move your cursor over this "doorway", you don't see the normal door icon appear.
There's a very good reason, it is another corridor that doesn't become visible until you walk to the bottom of the stairs.
I spent a good 15 minutes walking around the rest of the castle trying to find another door behind a tapestry until I figured this out.
Sorry about the confusion. I figured if I write too much, might make it more confusing. Anyway, glad you found it. Took me a little while to find myself. What the game needs, is a good pair of glasses for us old fart players.:D
