Hi There,

I was hoping for some help, I have reached a standstill. I finished Act 1, went through all of the cinema(s), and set out to prove my innocence in the Ember massacre. When I reached the World Map Transition point, there was a very limited number of places I could travel to. The Docks, The Merchant Quarter, Port Llast, and Ember were all missing.

So far, here is what I have attempted...

1. Searched all of the Docks for an envoy, guide, etc...
2. Went to each location that was available (Old Owl Well, Forte Locke, Dwarven Scouts). After going to these, I could not get back to the docks so I restarted from a previous save.
3. Downloaded the latest patch available.
4. Spoke with everyone (multiple times) in the Flagon
5. Repeated steps 1, 2, and 4

I have failed and I am hoping that it is something simple that I have missed, as opposed to a major bug. I checked the walkthrough, and it is inconsistent (my game, not the walkthrough) with what I can do. Unfortunately, my most recent save is after the beginning of Act 2.

Sorry for the length, wanted to be thorough. Any help is much appreciated!!!

I have looked around and realized that something else may be wrong. Casavir is dead. During the dialogue in the beginning of Act 2, I noticed Bishop and Casavir pushing eachother. When it came back to play mode, Casavir was laying on the floor. I examined him and it says he is dead. I assumed it was part of the story and since I was not particularly fond of Casavir, I was not upset at his demise.

Is Casavir supposed to die in the (very) beginning of Act 2?

Please Help!

Hey, really? Casavir's dead! YAY! Good, I hated that pompous bast--
Umm, I don't suppose that's right. I wasn't given the chance to kill that worm untill the very end. Muhahaha!

Try going to the City Watch office in the merchant dist. There should be a knight there you can talk to.

Lurch- I tried that, however, the Merchant District is not available on my World Map. Any other thoughts? Thanks for the quick feedback!

i don't know about you, but in my game Casavir is alive and well. After I left the tavern I met Tasha, another thief, who needed to speak to Neeshka... I went back into the tavern and added Neeshka to my party, and after speaking to Tasha again was given the Neverwinter's Greatest Thief quest. The Blacklake district is open and I can travel freely there, I don't know if there are just game differences based on the way you play your character or if there's a glitch, but it sounds to me like something in your game is wonky... good luck and happy gaming!!!

Nameless, do you have Sand in your party when you are trying to go to Port Llast?

Sounds *very* bugged to me, try loading a previous save and working again from there, depending on the regularity of your saves it can be a pain, but apart from that the only other thing I can suggest is posting on the official forums, and hoping a game dev will help you by posting debug mode codes for you to enter...

Hey Grim-

Nope, I am not able to select Sand into my party. When I talk to him, he states we need to collect evidence, but there is never an option to get him to come with me. I am assuming I should be able to select him...

Hey BT-

Yeah, I learned a hard lesson, save in multiple spots. This is actually one of the first times I have gamed on the pc and I guess I had really never considered a problem like this (so naive of me, I know). A very valuable lesson. Thanks for the advice about posting on official forums, I think I may try that!
