Yet another Bug! YAY!

So, not only will Deekin not sell me stuff, but im not able to select Kelghar anymore

Oh i can put him in my party just fine, but when i click on his character portrait nothing happens. When i hold the Z key down, his portrait doesnt even get that "ring of blue light" like everyone elses does. I cant give him any better items , or take items that i had stashed on him, as you need to be able to select him to open his inventory.

I love NWN, but as bug after bug after bug keeps hitting me, im getting mildly irritated.

Have you tried the new Beta patch? Just kind of curious. Being a beta, I'm a little leary about trying it. Doing the walkthrough, I hate to risk something getting screwed up.

Im just a little to scared to put it on either, concidering that with each new patch, more bugs seem to be coming out. Kindaaaaa leery about adding on anything new untill they actually have things all fixed up to say... what might be acceptable for a release?:D

The Beta patch is worth using, it's a must have. The only thing I find a problem with it is that shadows don't appear inside buildings (at least for me). Otherwise everything it changes is an improvement.

The only bug I've had so far is when I click on a mob to attack, then run right past it! This has caused death a couple times. My poor character must be near sighted!

i hear you.
try using the space-key to pause the game before you click on attacking.

its annoying at times but guarantees perfect coordination .. especially in a big fight ...

I have the same issue with Deekin. At first he "worked" fine, suddenly, I don't get the option to see his wares anymore.

In addition, I can't complete the Ritual of Purification. Every time I click on the statue that's near the road, it tells me that I can't use that "item" while in combat. I'm NOT in combat.

I hit "update" as soon as I installed the game. Any ideas/ways around these issues? Especially the statue one?

Oh, I also told Kana not to bring Torin to my keep and that someone else should take care of her, did I ruin a quest here?

yeah, alot of people have been having this problem. It's an issue with his conversation scripting.. hope obsidian gets this fixed..

another common bug, you just have to reload the game to just before this, and click on the statue as soon as you zone in.. it's almost one of the only ways to make sure you get it. Otherwise you'll be stuck with not having that statue and saying your in combat... FYI still says your in combat even if you have the rite of purification and nothing else around.. :p

not really sure, but that was your decision. By bringing Torio to your keep, she works as an advisor. She will tell you about Lusken and their plans. Also tell you about Garius. Another good thing she does is advise you on new NPCs to recruit for your keep. :)

Thank you so much for your reply. I read that the 1.02 patch will fix the statue thing, so I started a new character and I'm now replaying the game with the patch.

This time around, I will make sure that Torio will be delivered to my keep. :D

Will this Beta patch work for that?

Im gonna install it tonight, and pray to the baby jesus that it works. He was my Jewel/expensive item carrier, so ive been a little broke and underpowered lately

Man. i hate this game

It could actually be mediocre if i didnt have to spend hours trying to fix things that are broken.

I think im going to finish it, then throw this unfinished thing on the shelf for at least 2 months before they get it into working shape

Hmm, odd. I have played all the way to Crossroads Keep with a 1.00 build. I don't have a net connection in my new apartment yet to upgrade it until this weekend. So far I have zero complaints. *knocks on wood*

So... No one still has any fixes to this. Im almost done the game, but would really love to get Khelgar up past level 12 before the fight with the King Of Shadows... That would be cool
