View Full Version : The Trial of Tyr
I beat Lorne but then nothing happens from what I have read there is supposed to be some sort of cutscene or whatever that takes you back to the Flagon. That is not happening. Lorne dies and then I just wonder aimlessly in the arena trying to execute an event. The main character appears not to be able to move due to a status effect and he is in the stands. What the hell is wrong here? I have reinstalled this game and still don't know what the problem is.
This is a known bug after SoZ and patch 1.21, where this happens when you choose a companion (usually Khelgar) to fight for you.
Workarounds:
1. Don't use a companion to fight Lorne; fight him yourself.
2. I have read this on the bioware forums: if you pause immediately after Lorne dies and switch to your character in the spectator stands, then the cutscene with Lord Nasher fires properly.
I suggest no. 1. He's not that tough; I've beaten with just about any class or class combination. (30+ times; yes, I'm proud of that! :D
If that's not the case in your game, then post more details, most importantly game version and Class of your main character.
Happy New Year! :santa:
I have a Warlock at level 11 and to be honest he isn't very good when it comes to melee. Anyways I figured out the whole reason for it not firing when I was playing it. I did the whole pause thing.
Did this work before they put an update for it?
Hm, all I know is I have done it with a warlock before, because usually I am the one who fights Lorne whatever class or class combination I might be. ;) But I had invest in Eldritch Spears. Anyways, the trick is to go invisible and get your defenses until Lorne ignores your invisibility and starts hacking at you. In that case, just start running gain some pace and go invisible again. Hit him with melee or Eldtrich spears when he is a bit far and charging at you. Once he goes deathless frenzy, start running in around in circles in the arene until his frenzy wears off, then finish him off. Piece of cake. If your warlock can use scrolls buy or use console to spawn grease and similar slow scrolls and cast them. Some people say this works wonders. I prefer do it always my way of cource. HTH :santa:
If you couldn't get the pause trick to work for you, the only thing I can suggest is to try this:
~
DebugMode 1
rs ga_conversation_self("20_cs_duel2")
DebugMode 0
~
I have no idea if that will solve the problem or not.
This problem (and the skymirror bug as well) appears to be caused by ... (wait for it) ... the introduction of the new party conversation system in SoZ.
Sorry I can't help more. I'm playing my third run through of SOZ at the moment and probably won't replay the OC for some time. :D
