Take the modron for the modron maze - iirc there's an extra level that opens up if you solve the maze with him in the party. Then swap him out. :D

it's just an 8x8 block of rooms, I think, w/an evil wizard in one and nordom in another.

I'm going to get him right now.
wouldn't you know, I mapped the whole thing out to find him and he turned up in the very last room.
or do they script it like that?

Probably, or they scripted it random and it was bad luck. :D I have no idea really; that's one game I never played.

oh yeah, you do get the convo, xp, loot, etc.

it's one maze that you can reset to one of 3 difficulty levels, then reset anytime you want.
to one of 3 difficulty levels, then reset anytime you want.

it was kind of weird because they give you a portal gem that you can use to teleport around but then I found another one as random loot drops.
