Blade Golem won't activate!!

I got to the point where the quest journal says I got all the items for the construct, and to go to grobnar about it. But he doesn't have any conversation choices about the golem, and when I talk to the golem, it just stares at me, and I get a msg about having to talk to grobnar.

I can't figure out what to do!! Is there a way I can debug the thing? Also, how would i respawn the golem book from the rescue of aldanon in crossroad keep? If I messed up at all, that would be the item I'd need respawned.
