In my current campaign I'm playing a rogue/wizard prestiged to Arcane Trickster. Headache: even the special AT armour from Deekin still carries a 10% risk of arcane spell failure.

My question: in the OC, does any armor (as opposed to mage robes) exist that does not carry some risk of arcane spell failure? Offkorn's guide suggests that making any armor out of mithril lowers the risk by 10%, but a mithril chain shirt would be the lightest thing you could craft from mithril, and it still has ASF 10%. Padded +5 would be ASF 5%, I believe, plus a ginormous max dex, but I was really hoping to zero it. If it's not possible, I embrace that this is realistic, just hoping to find it if it exists.

AFAIK, the only light armor with no spell failure is an EK Chain Shirt that Deekin sells. You would have to have high UMD to wear that though. I'd go with Robes of the Archmagi, myself.

i'd also go with robes :)

Understandable. Unfortunately you have to have a King's Tear and CL 14 to craft the Robe of the Archmagi, and lesser robes are fairly weak substitutes.
