i played part two very intensively. never touched part three because i was busy with oblivion at that time and the surrounding rumors about part three being very fucked up made me stay away from it ... on the other hand though i heard that part three is brilliant ... so maybe i will put my hands on it sooner or later :)

but overall i liked the gothic world very much and its atmosphere ...just my kind of world really

Gothic III is a resource hog; and it had quite some bugs at release, but many things have been fixed meanwhile by the community. Common feeling is it's not as good as Gothic II was, which is supposed to have been the best so far. I still love to play it; I set up a Vista64, XP, Ubuntu64 multiboot, with XP solely to play Gothic III. It had serious isssues with sound in Vista64, 'cause my onbaord sound card is not supported by Vista64.
