HI Ive used Race Editor, 1.1.2.0. to make a playable lich. I can get it to work in modules but not in the OC or Motb. In the toolset you can add custom tlk to modules, but campains. Which is how I was able to use it. The race doesnt show in character creation and when I try to load a premade it crashes the game. Any ideas or know of any premade playable lichs?

Have you tried loading this tlk file and any other alterations in the program files installation of NWN2?

To get something to work in the OC you usually have to install things there, rather than the My Documents install.

It's definitely worth a try, but, provided this works, remember to take it out or replace it when it's time to patch the game.

Sirchet, most things work fine when you put them in appropriate folders in the My Documents folder, e.g. override, hak, tlk etc.

I agree Epirote, but when things fail to function in that directory, moving them to the program files directory usually clears things up.

Early on in the modding of NWN2 quite a few of the adventures that made use of custom creatures and such had to go in the program files to work and some authors even recommended it.

Remember that the OC modules are stored in the program files also. :D

Thanks for the help. But Im not sure where I should put the files. I got a tlk and a hak. I dont see a tlk and hak folder in the program files.

Have you tried putting them into the override folder in the program files folder? May be it works from there?

Other than that and since you mentioned that you can add them to modules, but not campaigns, you could add them to the individual modules of each campaign may be? But before you try that make a backup copy of all modules.

I found out away to do it. I made the custom race character. Then I used GFFEditor to change the appearance of another premade character.

I glad you sorted it out. :)
