Black Garius

Is there something special I need to do to slay BG? I have taken him to almost 0 hp like 10 times and he just keeps healing himself...

Here's an excert from the walk-thru provided in the Original Campaign section, to the left of this thread.

2. Black Garius and the King of Shadows
Once you enter the room, you will join up with all your other companions except for Neeshka and Bishop. Use this opportunity, to fix spell books, rest, buff and prepare. Then, there will be a lengthy cinema. Neeshka comes forward, having been tortured by Black Garius. At this time, Black Garius will try to persuade your companions to leave you and join him. Now, you'll find out how many friends you really have. Hope you have been treating them right. Worst case senario is: you will have to fight Garius and his Undead Summons plus Qara or Sand, Neeska, Bishop and the Construct. Best case scenario, only Qara or Sand betrays you, while Bishop walks away. Once this is done the battle will begin. The first thing that happens is that Garius walls himself away behind a force field. And then he summons many different kinds of demons and undead to fight you. I would have your companions fight the demons, while you concentrate on breaking one of the barrier walls. You must do this to reach Garius. Destroy some of the demons and traitorous companions. You don't need to read the True Name scroll to kill Garius, you've already done this back at the Keep. I then turned my attention to him. This is a long, difficult battle. Once Garius is dead, you will have a chance to rest and heal before the next part. Search the corpses for anything useful - especially the ones of your former friends.

You did read the scroll back at the keep, right?

Yeah, I read the scroll back at the keep. Is it worthwhile to try it again? Also, I can't seem to break through the statues to bring down the wall...

It's not necessary to break down the barriers, you can cast magic spells thru them.

However, if you are fast enough, you can actually run a couple of characters around the barriers to take on Garius et al face to face while the rest of the party deals with the Balor that Garius summons on your side of the barrier.

The Balor demands your immediate attention. He cut poor Grobnar to shreds in my game in seconds, and came close to tearing sand a new one as well. While the rest of your party takes on the balor the two characters that make it past the barrier can deal with any traitors, Garius and the golems on the other side. I believe I sent Elanee and Khelgar to the other side.

I've seen this problem reported before. For some reason, Black Garius just won't die. If you have a save, it's best to reload and try again.

What I usually do in this fight is, I try to keep the party together, then I let Sand cast a lot of IGMS, preferably maximized and/or empowered, while the rest of the party takes care of the Balor and the Undead that spawn next to you. Garius will heal himself about three times, before he goes down. Also, you can attack the force field to break through. I think you have to right click and select bash on the purple brick line.
