View Full Version : How the heck can i get belgurils?

Question

I have just gotten the tome of Ithkazar.

Up till now i have only found ONE beljuril, and that was from the merchant in merchant's quarter.

Must be some crazy luck, because on my other character i got a beljuril really early in act 2. I need one or two more beljurils here, are there any sure fired ways to get one?

No, you haven't! :wtf: You have got the Tome of Iltkazar. ;)

Yes, gems are fairly random ... One Bard of mine had tons early on ... others, especially ECL races struggle ... ;)

Check out the crafting guide for a page of random gem locations, and the OC item database has a list of high end gems that can be bought.

High level gems ARE to a large degree random. If you find a chest with several thousand gp in it, chances are you have just missed a high end crafting gem.

There is a TON of information in the sidebar links if you take the time to look thru it. :D

Actually, look for containers that give only gold. There are three possibilities then:
You get a small amount of gold. Note: If you remembered to save beforehand, just reload.
You get a large amount of gold. It does not have to be thousands. Five houndred, thereabouts, will do. Example: Mere of the Dead Men, Crates.
You get one high end gem. In example above my Bard got a Diamond. And diamonds are forever ... :D

500 gp will not give a beljuril. It has to be in the thousands, and that's what the OP was asking about. :D

I was just mentioning a similar and related example, which indeed gives you a Diamond. But since you mentioned our excellent Item ID Database, I usually find it easier to just spawn in what I need. ;)
