View Full Version : Negotitate with bandits or kill them?
This is the fort locke bandit camp...which offers better rewards? The bandit leader has a nice sword, but does the negotiation option give more xp?
The difference in XP is very small so killing them is probably the best option.
The power gamer in me says: "Kill them, loot them, move on."
The role player in me says: "Depends on your character. But if you play a character who generally wants to avoid unneeded bloodshed, then negotiating with them is the only way to go."
The way it usually goes for me is: negotiate, if that fails they are dead meat anyway. :D
Generally, negotiating and convincing enemies to leave peacefully gives you slightly less XP in comparison to killing them.
And they might set up shop elsewhere...so, gotta put the dogs down! heh heh
I find that when negotiating i end up convincing them to join the greycloaks at fortloke for a supstainal xp bonus then just killing them, Xp for conving them to leave + XP of giving commander tann the addtional men to sore up the fort....

That is nifty. I have done the OC more times than I care to admit. And never learned that. Thanks for the info!!! :)
