In chapter 3 I go to the Stronghold to start the whole gaining the Ironfists' trust quest but after the heated discussion with Keros i walk out of the room to talk to Khulmar, and instead of him telling me about the Hammer of whats-is-name he just says "never in my grandest dreams would I have thought this day possible" as if i have already gotten the hammer. Im not even able to go to Mt. Galardrym on the map.
Ive already tried the whole loading a new khelgar from a different save in place of the current one but nothing happened.
Any ideas?
Is your game uptodate with the latest patch? :confused:The latest patch version is 1.12. Also, do you have any custom content installed? :confused:

latest patch, no custom content so im confused as hell.
Oh well :\
May be it's a corrupt save? :confused: Have you tried going back in saves and replaying? :confused:

yep, had a save game from about 3 hours before the ironfist stronghold, played back through it and still had the same problem.
Im trying to just ignore it and continue with the game but i cant tell Nevall that ive gathered all the allies i can but the option isnt there.
Anyway i can get past this with the debug mode?

You'll miss a TON of stuff - Mt. G, Tholapsyx and the fire giant king.
It might be possible to reset one of the globals in the global.xlm file or one of the scripts using the console so that Nevalle thinks you've gotten the dwarves as allies. I'll have to dig around in it before I can answer completely.
I know you said you patched but did you manually patch or autoupdate? And what sequence did you install NWN2, MotB and the patches in?
And just out of curiosity are you running Vista?
If a parameter got set regarding Khulmar's conversation outside the Thrown Room, then the logical thing to do would be to look for that in the xml file and change it back. Then run debug to run the script with the conversation.
Theoretically, that should work; all that is missing is find and change the parameter and find the script name. :wtf:;)

I know I'll miss a fair bit but ive finished the game enough times to know whats gonna happen plus its better than sitting around with Nevalle scratching my RDD butt
Im running NWN2, no MotB, XP and i auto-update'd the patches through NWN2
Sorry, but I don't think anyone ever mentioned such a glitch in that area. Never hit me; I sure had a tough time figuring out whereto Khulmar disappears after his speech outside the Throne Room at first, but that's one strange bug. :wtf:

Well that eliminates 2 of my prime candidates for the cause of the problem.
The only thngs I could find in the globals.xml file are these:
- <Integer>
<Name>ironfist_allied</Name>
<Value>1</Value>
</Integer>
- <Integer>
<Name>01_Join_Khulmar</Name>
<Value>2</Value>
</Integer>
- <Integer>
<Name>03_bAllianceDwarves</Name>
<Value>1</Value>
There is no SPECIFIC reference in the globals.xlm file to a conversation with Nevalle, but there are two general references to a convo's with Nevalle that occur after this so one of them might be the convo about the allies.
Try checking you globals.xlm file (just find the file in the your save game and double click on it) and see if those global integer strings appear.
Those parameters came from a game where I had enisted the Dwarves as allies.
