Ok, sorry for sounding like an idiot (well, at least more that usual)...

What exactly is an adventure pack? Is it merely an "Official" module as opposed to a community made module or an official campaign like MotB? Or does this bolt on to the Original Campaign or something? Is it even related to the OC or something totally separate?

I never played NWN 1, so I don't really know what's coming. With MotB I at least knew that I would bring one character over from the OC to continue the story, but I'm not sure how Mysteries of Westgate will work.

The Mysteries of Westgate Adventure pack is akin to one of the premium modules released by Bioware for NWN1. It's an "official" module and is a self-contained adventure, unrelated to either the OC or MotB. I believe they called it an Adventure Pack because the estimated playing time is longer than the typical Premium Modules that were released for NWN1.

You can either create a new character at the start of MoW or import one if you wish. If you create a new character at start you will be given enough XP to level up to Level 8. MoW looks at your character's feats and selects appropriate equipment for your character that is based on your class and feats.

If you import a character you will be levelled to level 8 if your imported character is below level 8 but you will NOT be de-levelled if you are higher. Equipment will NOT be stripped from an imported character.

You can find an overview of MoW at this link:

and sme early details on the companions for Mow here:

Hope this helps. :D
