Do I need to kil him in order to have the last spirit?
How?My main character destroys a whole army with a few spells as long they don't reach him but he is usseless against the golem.
The dwarf buffed up with everything can barelly give 3-5 damage to him.
And how do I open the song portal?
if you are talking about the guy in the far bottom right room on the map inside the gem mine, if i'm thinking right, it has rows of beds and chests on either side of the room?? if so, then yes, you have to kill him for a spirit to spawn... i think that i had khelgar, the cleric, Casavir, and shandra with me when i did that... use Casavir, bless and aura, with a high damaging weapon and use smite infidel.. it's a tough battle but it can be done.. the cleric can be useful too, look through her spells and feats for something useful... also don't forget that your newly found special abilities from the purifications can be used as well... they recharge when you rest just like spells...
and as for the song portal, it will open when you complete the 4 rites of purifications at the illfarn ruins... 1 outside, 1 in the temple, 1 in the mines, and 1 in the keep
The iron golem u say cant killed by any spell as far as i know.I gave shandra an enchanted weapon (fire) and khelgar one with fire...3-7 damge each and in 2 minutes the golem eas out.Of cource my both fighters had stoneskin so the golem barely damaged them
Iron golems are indeed immune to magic, as it says in your combat log every time you hit them. They also have a high physical damage reduction, so you need to use weapons with a high enhancement bonus (I forget exactly how high) and elemental enchantments (such as fiery weapon).
Hi all, I'm new here, a tip on this, there is a book about which type of weapon is good against certain creatures (think it's found in Act I when West Harbor is attacked, in your step fathers room, in a chest) which states Iron golems are vulnerable to Adamantine weapones, I used 2 (one on me (Warlock) and one on Shandra) and it went down in a few seconds :)
Giga is right, if you create an adamantine weapon with +3 to +5 enchantment it should be able to take down any Golem or any creature that has stoneskin (it's especially great against Succubus' and mages).
Once I got toward the end of Chapter 2 I started carrying around an Alchemical Silver weapon, a Cold Iron, and Adamantine weapon in my bag of holding. I generally used the Cold Iron for my main weapon, enchanted w/ +4 or +5 and eventually acid or fire and holy damage as well. The other weapons were backup for when I encounter dmg resistant enemies, and were enchanted at least +3.
