In MotB Part III, from the Academy Founder's Sanctum, I get through conversations, loot the room behind the portal, then step through the portal. From there 19 areas get unpacked, the screen changes, waits a second or so and then give me
"Could not load Module ... There was an error loading the module"
So I am greatly enlightened to know there was an error ... what is the fix. I did reload a previously-saved game .... same result.:(

Sounds like a module got corrupted during installation to me. Only fix for that is to (a) uninstall, reinstall and repatch, OR (b) copy the corrupted module from a friend's machine onto yours. Since you have finished the Academy, my guess is that the affected module is Z_X1.mod. (That's based on item codes as much as anything - since the plot items in the academy are all coded as
nx1_e_xxxxx) The Z module is a whopping 261 megs, so better have a USB flash drive or a cd burner to transfer it.
Just in case I have the sequence off, the module before that is E_X1.mod and it's relatively small at 73+ megs. But all the plot items in the academy are coded as nx1_e_xxxx so I am guessing the corrupted Mod is Z.
Hope that helps.

Thanks very much for the insight. I will uninstall then reinstall MotB and then update patches, and then try the saved game. Will get back to you on this. Thanks forf your kind assistance.
Uninstalling / reinstalling worked. As I was re-installing, it came to me that perhaps something in the over-ride folder may be responsible, but I don't remember where I saw that, perhaps from Blue Kobold's work.
Thanks very much for your help..

Glad that it worked for you. :D
Something in the override folder is more likely to cause a script to fail to fire than it is to prevent an entire mod from loading, but it's not impossible. I've been avoiding ALL haks / overrides until Obsidian finishes with the patches at their end AND people have updated the custom content. Too many of them have caused problems due to not being updated post MotB. :D
