Fihelis' Vault -- difinite spoiler

When I go into the informants house and kill all the bad guys i have a problem with the vault(?). There is a room off the kitchen which is locked. Neeshka can't open it, it says a special key is required. I can't bash it, it resists all damage. I have searched everywhere on first and second floor and can't find any key.

In the Northeast corner of the first floor is a barred room with huge piles of gold but it is just paint, there's nothing to pick up there.

The walkthrough says there is a (trapped) vault marked on the map which has huge amounts of gold. There is no vault marked on my map. What am I missing here?

IIRC, the trapped vault that the walkthrough refers to is in the lower right corner of the map. It's off the bedroom at the end of the long N-S corridor running down the right side of the first floor. That vault does indeed contain a large quantity of gold and gems, but it's inaccessible via the city watch path.

If you enter the estate on Axel's side, supposedly you can convince a city watchman to leave and he'll give you the key. If you enter on the city watchside, the vault is inaccessible. I seem to recall that I did get into the vault, but i did it by killing Fihelis.
