Hiya,
Just a newbie and wanting to know how to mod in PC portraits into NWN2 . Ages ago I found a website that allowed similar for Baldurs Gate and wondered if similar was possible for NWN2?
Cheers

PS I have performed a search for similar topics

I would suggest waiting until the 1.12 patch comes out. I believe that patch is going to make it possible to add them. But you can look here:

http://www.thieves-guild.net/forum/showthread.php?t=983

for how to manage things in the meantime.

I've been holding off on making those 2 custom portrait files available for download until all of the details on the file requirements are known.

:D

And just because thanks is not enough I did spot the custom portraits on the MoTB classes section and saved them - now in your thread I see them all nicely arranged. Beautiful they are, and wait happily I shall as my technical abilities fail at about step 1.
Cheers

I'm glad you like the artwork on the classes page. :D

Just don't try to use those for custom portraits. The file format and dimensions are not the proper format or size for use without editing. :D

I believe I have most of those in the custom portrait file (have to check). If I can find the time, I plan to expand the selections to at least 24 per gender and probably 30.

Any special requests? Except for Drizzt. I don't do Drizzt. :D

Thank goodness for that and I apologize, if I offended any Drizzt fans out there. :D

Okay, all done finally.

I kind of missed the target and ended up making 70 females, 50 males and 8 more from concept art. :D

So, maestro, a drum roll if you please:

and 8 more from concept art in the game:

Thank you. :D

Most of them weren't that difficult as they were mostly just cropped. Some of them DID require some extra work though. :D Here's a couple of examples of the before and after:

Before: http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd307/kgambit/custom%20portraits/DragonWarrior_temp.jpg After: http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd307/kgambit/custom%20portraits/nwn2fftr72.jpg

Before: http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd307/kgambit/custom%20portraits/nwn2felf99.jpg After: http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd307/kgambit/custom%20portraits/nwn2felf98.jpg

My wife said I needed to get rid of the "elephant ears" on the lower one. :D

Update: I made one small change to the male collection. The portrait of Geralt from "The Witcher" has been replaced with a better version. The replacement has a much better backgroun (not the monochrome background of the earlier version.)

I've also decided to toss in one more male portrait:

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd307/kgambit/custom%20portraits/witcher1.jpg

and this is approximately how the portraits will appear in game:

It noticed that, and he looks suspiciously familiar, too :D

LOL Yeah I thought he might. :D

By the way, the portraits are NOT yet available for download. (But I AM working on it. :D

Here are the final 4 portraits to be included in the collections.

The one on the lower right from the Witcher replaces a previous version of a similiar shot but the other three are new and have not been added to the collages. They WILL be in the downloadable files.

Those are beautiful pictures kgambit! I've held back from downloading portraits so far because none really seem to be worth it. I just love the pictures up here though, especially in classes--I even made a signature out of them >_< Can't wait to download these :)

Thanks Poison. :D

Portrait pack 4 went up for download just the other day, and I am really happy with the way some of those portraits turned out. The base images are from NWN2 concept art but I added totally new backgrounds to all of them which REALLY makes a huge difference. :D

Glad you liked them. :D

How about Tasslehoff Burrfoot? Everybody likes Kenders. :D
We could call him a halfling.;)
