where can i setup my avatar? i just up/find my profile pic. :(

I just checked. Avatars are enabled by default in our forum. Go to your User CP and on the left side you should see "Edit Avatar" ...

avatars are shown in every post you make in the forums.
profile pic is shown when somebody clicks on your username to read detailed information about your profile.

It's probably me being blonde again but I can't upload my avatar pic, either from my pc or with a link to the version I keep on Photobucket. I've checked repeatedly and the file is definitely within the size limits and have tried uploading as both jpg and gif but still no joy. Keeps saying that the upload failed etc but not giving a reason why. Any ideas please?

i had this problem, i tried png, jpeg and giff, no no love. then i tryed again the next day and it worked, so i didnt say anything cause i thought that there was a bug that got fixed. so try again tomorow or in a couple of days (just incase its one of thouse freak things)

Do you copy/paste the URL from photobucket to the editor? We are having a bit of a time with the volume of traffic we're getting. We never imagined the site would grow so fast. We're looking into increasing our capacity now, and are waiting for info from the company. This might be part of the problem, I'm not sure. But it should work. Does it show in the preview? Do you get an error message?

out of curiosity, have you tryed different images?

actualy there is a point, i think that when i got it to work, there was an emediant change in the screen when i gave it the image, before i told it to save... try giveing it the filename and then waiting for apreview image to come up... if its bandwidth issues on the servers part then waithing a little might solve your problem.

When I try to upload from my PC it says "upload failed" and when I paste the URL from Photobucket, it says "invalid file". I haven't tried with a different image yet, I will make a new one and try again but for reference, my signature is also held on Photobucket and as you can see there is no problem with that!

Have tried waiting before saving and have tried using a different image. No preview appears at all and I'm still getting the "invalid file" message.

FYI am also having the same problem with the Profile pic! :(

we are currently having traffic limits on our ftp.
since we havent considered having about 3000 registered members in this short time and hell of visits ... the problem you cannot upload your avatar picture might occur because we cannot upload anything on the ftp right now ... we are in contact with our isp trying to solve the issue as fast as possible .. meanwhile please bear with us ... :)
